Delzangles seals Longchamp double Molly Malone provided Mikel Delzangles with a Longchamp double when winning the Qatar Prix Du Cadran. Vadamar, a stablemate of the winner, set out to make every yard of the two and a half miles under Jamie Spencer and the pair still led their nine rivals at the head of the false straight in the Group One contest. He was stalked throughout by Umberto Rispoli aboard Molly Malone and the four year old daughter of Lomitas readily took over at the head of affairs. Molly Malone took a couple of lengths out of the field as market principals Colour Vision and High Jinx failed to cope with the injection of pace and that move proved decisive as she ran all the way to the line. High Jinx, unusually, looked a difficult ride in the straight as he carried his head at an awkward angle but he did keep finding for Graham Lee and ran on well enough to claim second. Colour Vision was back in third with the return to more patient tactics helping Saddler's Rock to leave some below par efforts behind to finish fourth although, with the benefit of hindsight, they may have been overplayed given how the race panned out. Newmarket trainer James Fanshawe said of High Jinx: "It was a real grind and the testing ground took the speed out of him. "He did well to finish second and was very game. I'll put him away and aim at the Cup races next season." Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said of the Saeed bin Suroor-trained, Frankie Dettori-ridden Colour Vision: "He's run pound for pound as he did at Doncaster, but is better on faster ground and we'll wait for that to happen." John Oxx's Saddler's Rock raced at the rear of the 10-runner field, but stayed on in the straight to finish fourth under Johnny Murtagh.
