Derby looming large for Days Ken Condon admits the temptation of running Success Days in the Investec Derby could prove "very hard to resist" after the completion of the Classic trials only served to muddy the Epsom waters. Owned and bred by Robert Ng, Success Days has followed the traditional Irish route to Epsom, winning the Ballysax Stakes and the Derrinstown Derby Trial impressively, but connections have stopped shy of committing because his best form has been on very soft ground. As is the case with Dante winner Golden Horn, the Jeremy colt is not entered in the blue riband on June 6 and would need supplementing to the tune of 75,000 pounds. "It's a big decision and it doesn't have to be made until June 1, but the owner is leaning towards it," said Condon. "He won very impressively last week and it was a very good time considering the ground. "We've seen the trials now and no one seems to be putting their hands up, bar Golden Horn, and he might not run as he needs to be supplemented, too. "He (Success Days) has come out of the race in super form and he looks very progressive. "OK, he's been winning on soft ground, but I'd like to think he'd have been just as impressive on the slow side of good. "We're giving it serious consideration and he certainly deserves a place in the line-up. "People can crab his form all they like, but the time was good on the ground and he still looked a little green. "I think it's going to be very hard to resist."
