Destiny set for 'Monksfield'

Sword Of Destiny could put his unbeaten record over timber on the line in the Irish Form Book 'Monksfield' Novice Hurdle at Navan on Sunday.

Noel Meade's five-year-old could hardly have won any easier on his hurdling introduction at Punchestown in October and took a step up in class in his stride when landing a Cork Grade Three on his latest appearance.

Meade said: "Nothing is set in stone for him, but I'd say he'll either go to Navan, or there is a race back at Cork for him."

The County Meath handler also has the unbeaten Texas Jack engaged, with expensive purchase Mount Benbulben an interesting contender for Gordon Elliott.

Jetson and Reizovic also feature among nine possible runners for the Grade Two contest over two and a half miles.
