Dettori gets Shea Shea ride Frankie Dettori has been booked to ride ante-post favourite Shea Shea in the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York on Friday week. Mike de Kock's six-year-old has been ridden by Christophe Soumillon on his last five starts, including when a narrow second in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot and fourth in the July Cup at Newmarket. However, Soumillon is banned on the day of the Nunthorpe, prompting De Kock to secure the services of Dettori following a meeting in Newmarket on Monday. The trainer said: "Christophe Soumillon was due to take the ride as usual, but he picked up a suspension in France and failed on appeal. He won't be available on the day. We're fortunate to have Frankie available to stand in." Dettori is due to partner Shea Shea, who landed the Group One Al Quoz Sprint in Dubai in March, in a gallop tomorrow morning. The son of National Emblem has been based at Abington Place in Newmarket through the summer and De Kock reports him in top trim ahead of his Group One assignment. "He's doing well, his coat looks good and he should be at his best for the race. It's an easier five furlongs than the one at Ascot where he was beaten late by Sole Power, so we're hoping it will suit him perfectly," said the South African trainer. Eddie Lynam's Sole Power is among the entries together with Slade Power. Tommy Stack has put in Cape Of Approval while Aidan O'Brien has six entries - Declaration Of War, Gale Force Ten, George Vancouver, Nechita, Pedro The Great and Sea Siren.
