Dettori Has Deauville Aim

Frankie Dettori aims to be back in the saddle in time to partner Dubawi against Divine Proportions and company at Deauville next month.

The champion jockey is well on the road to recovery after fracturing his left collarbone in a fall from the David Barker-trained Celtic Mill at Sandown almost four week ago.

'He´s been training a little bit and he´s resting up now. His muscles are a bit sore but he´ll be back, hopefully, at Newmarket on August 12,' his agent Ray Cochrane told BBC Sport.

Dettori wants to be fit to partner the Irish 2000 Guineas winner against the unbeaten French filly Divine Proportions in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville on August 14.

'He´ll be at Newmarket on the Friday, and then possibly Newmarket on the Saturday, the day before the Marois. That´s the plan, anyway,' added Cochrane.
