Sean Flanagan is hoping to bag another Grade One with Disko in the Unibet Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown next month.

Having won the Leopardstown Chase with Road To Respect over Christmas, Flanagan is thankful trainer Noel Meade did not run his two stable stars against each other there and that Disko will be a fresh horse at the Dublin Festival.

"It worked out well anyway (splitting them up) and it (Irish Gold Cup) is looking like where Disko will go," said Flanagan to www.thetote.com.

"You'd have to think he has a massive chance based on last season's form. Looking at their form now, Disko looked the better horse of the two at the back end of last season and now Road To Respect has come out and won a Grade One and Disko will head to Leopardstown in good form and with everything going well, it could work out great.

"He's a horse that takes a bit more graft and that's why we ran him over two-five at Down Royal rather than going to three miles with him for his first run. He came home out of the race well and has been ticking over the last few weeks.

"He's fit and he's ready to rock and roll."
