Trainer Gavin Cromwell completed a double at Naas today when his well supported Ming Dynasty (3/1 — 9/4f) landed the Paddy Rewards Club Handicap Hurdle under jockey Ger Fox.

Cromwell's Livingstones Quest , under jockey Brien Kane, was an earlier winner of the other handicap hurdle on the card and Ming Dynasty was the easy three and and three parts of a length winner over Mountain Fox .

Cromwell was moving on the 30-winner mark for this season, his career-best tally, and later said “he was a good Flat horse at one time. It looked like he was going to win a couple of times (over hurdles). We gave him a wind operation recently and it's obviously done the trick with him. A bit of good ground helps him.

“He was plenty keen enough going past the stands the first time. The plan was to ride him with a bit more cover and a bit colder. I thought he was going to be in a bit of trouble and he might not see it out.”
