Douvan dominates Punchestown market Douvan has five rivals to beat in the Herald Champion Novice Hurdle on the first day of the Punchestown Festival. Willie Mullins' French import lived up to the hype when slamming the opposition in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and is as low as 2-9 to follow up. Sizing John was seven lengths back in third at Cheltenham and is the chief threat, according to the market, in Tuesday's Grade One. Noel Meade is represented by his Grade Three winner Rich Coast, with Tony Martin running Blair Perrone. Cardinal Palace and Velocity Boy complete the line-up.
