Down Royal on snow alert Down Royal is raceable at present but the course is expecting snow later in the morning and the situation is being monitored. "We are raceable at the moment and have no problems," said manager Mike Todd at 8am this morning. "We are expecting a band of snow later in the morning and if that lies it could be a problem for us. "They are also telling us that there will be a band of rain following the snow so we just have to wait and see if the snow lies and if it does whether it would be clear by 1pm."
