Drinks on O'Brien's Shaboozee at Ballinrobe The Joseph O'Brien trained Shaboozee stepped up on his recent second placed finish at Killarney when going one better in the Broderick's Electric Handicap Hurdle at Ballinrobe. Sent off 7/2f here on the back of that latest effort, the four-year-old made most of the running under J J Slevin. Jumping much better than at the County Kerry track last month, the son of Order Of St George put in his only poor leap at the final flight. Soon challenged by Tea It Is, Shaboozee rallied well in the home straight to run out a comfortable two-and-three-quarter length winner. Stable representative Michael Halford said: "He kept it simple and the plan was always to ride him handy. He jumped great although got in close to the last but picked up again when challenged. "He had been a bit unlucky in Killarney as JJ lost his irons at the first hurdle. We'll keep tipping along and see where it takes him." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes.
