Drumacoo impressive on British debut Former Michael Hourigan inmate Drumacoo made an eyecatching British debut when turning what looked a competitive Racing UK Profits Returned To Racing Novices' Chase at Huntingdon into a procession. Now with Ben Pauling having won three of his six runs for Hourigan, he was sent off at 12-1 on his chasing bow and first start for 412 days. His task was made significantly easier as fellow Irish export Value At Risk came down at the second fence which, following his early exit at Newbury, will have been extremely frustrating for Dan Skelton. However, he still beat a solid yardstick in Fletchers Flyer by 38 lengths. Harry Fry's Fletchers Flyer, the even-money favourite, jumped slightly left throughout but simply had no answer as Drumacoo and Nico de Boinville joined him on the second circuit before coming further and further clear. As a result, Betfred introduced Drumacoo into their betting for the RSA Chase at 20-1. Pauling said: "He's done that very well indeed and you can't expect to beat that sort of company as easily as he did first time out. I know Value At Risk fell early on, but Fletchers Flyer is a good yardstick. "God willing he will be sound tomorrow as he has all the ability in the world, but we've got to make sure he comes out of the race spot on. "The RSA might be an option, but he'll probably want another run between now and then and that will tell us whether or not he's an RSA horse. He's not devoid of speed, so the JLT might be another option but he didn't look to be stopping at the line. "He's a bit of a hot-head at home, you can see that by the fact he had a hood on today, but he settled well and that was fantastic."
