Nil Bua Gan Dua made it a treble on the night for Joseph O’Brien at Roscommon this evening when making all in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race.

Dylan Browne McMonagle, bagging himself a double, bounced out in front on the even-money shot in the ten furlong contest and he proved too strong for his four rivals.

The American Pharoah colt asserted in the closing stages to post a two-and-a-quarter length win over stablemate Dial Me In

Race planner Kevin Blake said afterwards:- “He was entitled to do it. He was 22lb well in with the second so he’d want to be winning really.

“It was straightforward. I don’t know how much he enjoyed making the running but he just outclassed them.

“He had smart form last year and he’s a scopey horse. Hopefully that will do his confidence the world of good.

“It’s a case of picking a spot now, it’s a little trickier with his rating.

“He’s obviously rated high enough for a handicap at Royal Ascot, or something like that, but he could go stakes company as well. We’ll have a little think about that.

“It’s good to get that job done and he won well at the line, I thought.”
