Followers of the David Marnane yard have been in clover in the month of December with wins at Dundalk for Freescape and Alfredo Arcano. The Tipperary handler is now intent on carrying the momentum into 2020.

Hero of the hour in the 2018 Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot, Settle For Bay, ran twice at Meydan in January, and the son of Rio De La Plata will soon be on his travels again.

“Hopefully Settle For Bay will be going out to Dubai,” said Marnane.

“He runs here (Dundalk) next week and we'll see how he gets on. He hasn't run since Ascot, he's a very fragile horse but at the moment he's fine so touch wood he keeps going that way.”

The Bansha House operator concluded - “It'll be a prep run here, we'll blow away the cobwebs and see how we get on.”
