Duff for Lingfield in February

Duff could return to the British all-weather circuit next year following his all-the-way win in the Listed Digibet.com Sunbury Stakes at Kempton on Wednesday night.

Top Irish jockey Kevin Manning made the trip over to partner Edward Lynam's star, with the pair also enjoying success in another Listed event at Lingfield in mid-November.

While his latest race was over seven furlongs, a drop back in trip now seems likely.

"He is going to have a little break over Christmas and then come over for a Listed race at Lingfield over six furlongs in February," reported Lynam.

"It is hard to evaluate the form from Wednesday when you look at those that were second, third and fourth, but Kevin said he got a great buzz from him and thinks he is best at six furlongs.

"He is very adaptable - he has won the last three Listed races he has run in over three different distances. I couldn't find a Group Three race for him and he cannot run on the soft ground on grass.

"Fingers crossed after Lingfield we will try to get him in the hat for the big sprint in Dubai in March."
