Easter Bonnet makes no mistake in Cork The Willie Mullins-trained Easter Bonnet (6/1) was an impressive winner of the Mares' Maiden Hurdle at Cork Racecourse. The five-year-old daughter of Dr Dino was prominent throughout the contest under jockey Brian Hayes and showed good stamina and a turn of foot to ease away from her rivals to record an eight-and-a-half-length success in the end. Speaking after the race, jockey Brian Hayes said: "She disappointed here the last day, so we said we'd let her roll today, as she is such a good jumper. She got into a good rhythm in front and she had ear plugs in today as well, which helped. "From a long way out I was happy, and she winged the three hurdles in the home straight. I think she likes nice ground and goes well on it. "She has a great pedigree and this is great for the (Temple Bloodstock Shadows) syndicate as well. With the way she won today, she wouldn't be out of place in a black-type race and hopefully she will go on from this." (Quotes from Tom Weekes)
