It proved plain sailing for hotpot King Of Kingsfield in the Boylesports Chase at Ballinrobe this evening.

The Gordon Elliott-trained Gigginstown gelding went to post a 4/7 shot in the two-mile-one contest and followed front-runner Runcok who jumped markedly to his left.

Jack Kennedy sent his mount on before the second last and the Vadamos gelding didn’t need to engage top gear as he went on to post an eight-length success over The Dara Man

The winner, Grade 1 placed over hurdles, was making it two from three over fences.

Kennedy said:- “It was very straightforward. It was a bit of a blow out really.

“He jumped great and I was very happy with him.

“My lad started following the leader a little bit, going left, but he jumped very well bar that.

“He’s a more relaxed horse over a fence, he used to be very hard on himself over hurdles. He’s hopefully on an upward curve.”
