La Note Verte justified her short price with a facile success in the Suir Blueway Mares Chase at Clonmel this afternoon.

The Willie Mullins-trained mare went to post a 1/10 shot in the two-mile-two contest as she aimed to land a hat-trick of wins over fences.

It never looked in doubt as she made all and eased clear of her rivals turning for home.

The daughter of Australia was big and bold over the last as she went on to score by 11 lengths without coming off the bridle.

"She was entitled to do that. She jumped to her left at plenty of the obstacles as she was on her own but it really was a case about just getting her around,” said Townend.

"She has been very well placed and has settled down a lot from where she was at the beginning of her career. She is a joy to ride now and is running to a nice level.

"She has improved plenty for chasing and will have that experience and race-fitness now, when the others start coming out."
