Sixth behind El Fabiolo when sent off 125/1 in last month's Arkle, Effernock Fizz picked up over £10,000 for finishing second on her return to Cheltenham this afternoon.

Always prominent, she led from the third fence in the British EBF Mares´ Novices´ Limited Handicap Chase Final until being headed at the last by the 16/1 winner Walk In Clover.

In receipt of almost two stone from the Cian Collins-trained top weight, Walk In Clover went away to score by three lengths in the hands of 5lb claimer Tristan Durrell.

Nine-time winner Effernock Fizz, owned and bred by TB Sheridan, stuck to her task gamely under Sean Bowen to claim second prize in the Grade 2 contest. The durable daughter of Lovelace was making her seventy-eighth start.
