Broadway Ted (18/1) was last off the bridle, but just pipped stablemate With Nolimit after a closing-stages battle in the Grade 2 bumper which concluded the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown.

It really was nip and tuck between the pair and it was Broadway Ted who dropped his head on the line first for Barry O'Neill to edge the verdict by a short head from the 28/1 runner-up. Charismatic Kid (7/4f) gave best in third in the closing stages to give Gordon Elliott a one-two-three.

Broadway Ted won his only other start in an Ayr bumper in December.

Elliott's other winners on the high-profile card came through Romeo Coolio (4/9f) and Jacob's Ladder (2/1).

He said: “He was very good in Ayr. He’s a pacey horse, he works very well and it was a good performance.

“They are all nice horses. They are big staying horses, that’s the type of horse I have. We have a lot of nice horses and we’re absolutely delighted.

“To get five winners (across the two days of the Dublin Racing Festival) is unbelievable and we’re delighted.”

Broadway Ted was handed a first show of 14/1 for the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival by Paddy Power
