Elliott mob-handed at Perth Gordon Elliott is set to saddle eight runners in another raid on Perth racecourse on Sunday from his County Meath base. The Grand National winning trainer is no stranger to targeting Perth's prizes and the yard has enjoyed a healthy return on investment this season with a 33% strike rate already posted. As Tony McCoy is required to ride at Southwell, Jason Maguire appears to be the most likely beneficiary from the absence of the champion jockey and he looks to have picked up a number of plum mounts. Glimmer Star, who was well supported ahead of a bumper at Down Royal, looks likely to be sent off as favourite in the maiden hurdle that starts the card and Brave Beauty, who looks to have Green Mining to fend off in order to follow up her ready success at the course last month, may be capable of bringing up a quickfire double. Manger Hanagement has looked an out-and-out stayer and he landed plenty of bets at the course when successful over two-and-a-half miles. Both he and stable companion, Cape Secret, look likely to be fancied to go well on their step up to an extended three miles. Steel Magnate has to reverse form with Scotch Warrior in order to oblige in the handicap chase over 2m4f whilst previous course winners, Definite All Star and Fools Wildcat attempt to switch their attentions to the larger obstacles in the Novices' Chase. With no runner in the sixth race, there is no possibility of going through the card though the stable will be confident that Incas Article can give a good account of herself in the bumper that closes the card. The daughter of Definite Article won readily at Clonmel on her debut and while unable to defy a penalty at Bellewstown - the mare's allowance allows her to receive 7lbs from Newton Abbot winner, Jive Master.
