Elliott targets Tramore success Gordon Elliott has a good strike-rate when sending horses down to Tramore and he looks to have live chances in three of the races on Monday's card. Halling's Treasure takes a drop in class in the opening 16,095 Average Pick 6 Dividend Maiden Hurdle. He was a drifter on his last start at Navan when sent off 11-8 favourite, having traded as short as 4-7 in the morning, and looked well-beaten at the second-last before plugging on to finish a moderate fourth. Previous form would suggest he is capable of better than that showing. He had run well at Fairyhouse when chasing home Shantou Ed and had been a fine third behind the smart Ivan Grozny at Naas before that. A reproduction of either of those efforts would make him the one to beat. Wood Breizh looks the obvious threat. Willie Mullins' charge ran well when third at Gowran Park last time and was only a length and a half off Halling's Treasure when fourth behind Ivan Grozny. Elliott saddles another Gigginstown gelding when Drunken Counsel lines up in the Live The Dream With Tote Maiden Hurdle. He did himself no favours when running keenly at Navan, fading tamely at the business end, but the Scorpion gelding had been impressive when winning his bumper at Clonmel previously and looks well up to landing a race of this standard over hurdles. Elliott looks to have found a nice opportunity for Vasco Du Mee, who reverts to the smaller obstacles in the Live The Dream With Tote Handicap Hurdle. The five-year-old ran a big race to finish third in a novice chase at Down Royal, having been well held in three previous placed effort over fences. The handicapper has awarded him a mark of 112 over fences, but he has a rating of just 95 over timber, and given that he looks to be improving, he could be lightly treated.
