Elliott warns he's 'not expecting too much' from Berlais Gordon Elliott looks set to have a strong hand in the William Hill Boyne Hurdle at Navan on Sunday with Sire Du Berlais set to make his return in the Grade 2 contest. Last season's Stayers' Hurdle winner was last seen finishing third at Punchestown last April and Elliott has warned that he will improve for the outing. He could be joined in the field by stablemates Beacon Edge, Delta Work, Farouk D'alene and Galvin. “We're planning on running them all, for a lot of them it's a stepping stone towards Cheltenham,” Elliott told journalist Dave Keena. “Sire Du Berlais doesn't really come good until he gets the sun on his back and I wouldn't be expecting too much from him on Sunday. “Hopefully he runs a respectable race and we go from there. We're looking forward to it.”
