Off the mark over two miles and seven on her stable debut at Fakenham a fortnight back, Yeats Baby returns to the Norfolk course today for County Carlow-based trainer Emmet Mullins.

Last time Yeats Baby had Irish company, indeed she accounted for Garrett Ahern's Slainte And Thanks by two and three parts of a length when triumphing on November 20th.

Ahern also had Sweet Destination (2nd) in action at Fakenham that day, but Yeats Baby carries the Irish flag alone on this occasion when she goes into battle in the Visit Palace House In Newmarket This Christmas Handicap Hurdle under Galway native Alain Cawley.

Yeats Baby is back to two and a half miles now but the six-year-old is forecast to go off a hot favourite for the 10-runner affair.

Mullins' charge is up 7Ibs in a tougher race but the layers are justifiably wary seeing as the mare, with her fifth different trainer at this stage, landed a hefty gamble last time.
