Excuse For Chunga Defeat Jeremy Noseda has revealed that 'a minor problem' with La Chunga has been discovered following her disappointing run at Newbury.The More Than Ready filly had impressed when winning the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot at York, but was unable to reproduce that form last Saturday, finishing fourth in the Princess Margaret Stakes behind Mixed Blessing.Noseda is hopeful, however, that the Group Three winner will be able to return to York next month for the Jaguar Lowther Stakes.Speaking on his website, www.jeremynoseda.com, the Newmarket-based trainer said: 'La Chunga returned sound from Newbury. However, she was distressed after the race and a minor problem has come to light.'But we are more than hopeful of having her back in tip-top condition to contest the Lowther.'Noseda also provided updates on two more of his juvenile fillies who have made an impact in Group company this term.Dual Group Two runner-up Salut D´Amour and Albany Stakes second Vague will be in action over the weekend of August 6-7 with the two target races being the Group Three Sweet Solera at Newmarket and the Debutante Stakes at the Curragh.
