Exeter goes ahead Today's meeting at Exeter goes ahead as scheduled after course officials cancelled their planned morning inspection. Clerk of the course Barry Johnson had been concerned about the threat of overnight snow and called an 8am check as a precaution. But with that failing to materialise and temperatures staying above freezing, the fixture has been given the go-ahead. "We didn't need to inspect as temperatures only got down to plus 3C overnight and we're up to plus 5C at the moment," said Johnson. "We've had a bit of rain too, which has helped, and we're absolutely fine to race. "We're looking forward to it as it's a cracking card."
