Fabre looking towards Epsom and Ascot with globetrotting Sosie Andre Fabre is planning on racing Sosie in Britain this summer after what was a tremendous effort in defeat in Hong Kong at the weekend. The five-year-old entire has only run once in England to date, when he disappointed for the only time in his career in finishing last of six in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown. Since then he has finished third in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, won the Hong Kong Vase and was beaten just a length and a half into third by Romantic Warrior back in Hong Kong in the QEII Cup on Sunday. Now Fabre is looking towards the Coronation Cup at the Derby meeting and the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot in July. “He ran a very nice race. The problem with taking him to Hong Kong is they have some of the best horses in the world so it is difficult,” said Fabre. “Romantic Warrior is a very good horse and over there they have some great trainers and some very good racecourses “I think Sosie might go to England next for the Coronation and then the King George for sure. “Sosie has won the Prix d’Ispahan over nine furlongs so he’s not a slow horse, but he does stay a mile and a half. “I think when he runs over a mile and a half he is able to quicken at the end of his races which some horses can’t do. “Hopefully he can have a good summer.”
