Andre Fabre is still sizing up a tilt at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe with French Derby winner Intello after his third to Moonlight Cloud.

The colt is now set to step back up in trip in the Prix du Prince d'Orange at Longchamp on September 21st after his effort in Sunday's Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville.

"He ran as I expected him to - at the end of the day, he was just beaten by two very top-class milers and I have no complaints," said Fabre. "It was a fair race run in a very good time.

"He will step back up in trip now and run next in the Prince d'Orange at Longchamp over 10 furlongs.

"After that he will either run in the Arc or the Champion Stakes, but it will more likely be the Arc I think."

If he runs in the Arc, Intello is likely to face his promising stablemate Flintshire who is following Fabre's favoured method of preparation for the race by heading to Arc Trials day at Longchamp.

"Flintshire is well and his preparation for the Prix Niel is going well," said the trainer.
