Facts Thyestes prep on course

Footy Facts has not been badly hindered by the cold weather as Robert Tyner prepares him for the Thyestes Chase on January 21st.

Tyner is based near Kinsale, County Cork, where they have escaped the snow that has affected much of Britain and Ireland in recent days.

And Footy Facts has been the subject of plenty of betting interest for Gowran Park's feature, into as short as 7-1 with Paddy Power and reportedly well backed with Ladbrokes on Wednesday.

"We've just had frost here and we are lucky to have a woodchip gallop, so we've been tipping away on that," said Tyner.

"We're aiming for the Thyestes Chase. It's a competitive race but he seems in good form.

"He won over two and a half miles at Clonmel with top weight and we were pleased with him last time."

Phillip Enright is likely to be back aboard Footy Facts after partnering him to victory in his last two starts.
