William Hill Series-leader Peter Fahey registered a third success in the popular campaign today, as his King Of The Greys (100/30f) landed Fairyhouse's William Hill Challenge Series Handicap Hurdle (Div II) under jockey Sam Ewing.

Placed third over the same 2m4f trip at Punchestown last month, the grey gelding won comfortably today, scoring easily by 6.5 lengths from Diamond Tipp .

Fahey said “we fancied him a good bit the last day in Punchestown where he was just got caught out, as they went very steady. I thought he did it nicely today and the penny is only starting to drop with him.

“He's still a little bit green, is a nice horse going forward and I think he'll even be a bit better over fences.

“That's great for us in the William Hill Series as that's three wins now, so that's another bonus with him doing it. Fair play to William Hill for sponsoring it and hopefully we can keep going.”

The William Hill Challenge Series for the 2026/27 season runs from October 13, 2026 through to April 23, 2027, with Fahey taking the early lead as he chases first prize of €50,000.
