Trainer Mark Fahey is to step last year’s Curragh debut winner Tina’s Indian into Stakes company next month, following the four year old’s encouraging Tipperary reappearance on Thursday.

The son of Calyx landed a gamble to win a 17-runner Curragh maiden last August and on his Tipperary reappearance, finished a close fifth, to horses respectively rated 107, 105, 104 and 106.

Fahey reports "we were happy enough at Tipperary although he got himself wound up going to the start and was gassy and keen early on in the race.

"That is all out of his system now, he came out of the race well and there's the Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes over seven furlongs for him next at Naas on May 18.

"Being a four-year-old, we had nowhere else to go except Tipperary so he had to go and do that. He put up a good performance against form horses who had already ran this year so with that under his belt, you would hope he will do something the next day.

"We'll know what we have the next day."
