Following an inspection this morning, Fairyhouse was found to be fit for racing and the fixture scheduled for today goes ahead.

The first of eight races, featuring the Grade 3 Bar 1 Betting Bobbyjo Chase (3.15), will get under way at 1.00pm.

Clerk of the Course Brian Hamilton said "Since our update yesterday afternoon, we had a further 2mm of rain overnight, but it's been a dry morning and the ground remains heavy.

"It is to remain dry here until late morning and there is, according to Met Eireann, the possibility of 3mm of rain through to the end of racing."

Regarding the Fairyhouse meeting which was cancelled due to waterlogging on Monday, as was the case with Clonmel's card yesterday, it has been decided that neither of these fixtures will be rescheduled.

A spokesperson for HRI said "As both Fairyhouse and Clonmel had already been rescheduled from previous dates, they will not be rescheduled again."
