Fairyhouse now yielding to soft

The ground at Fairyhouse is now yielding to soft ahead of the Easter festival, which starts on Saturday.

There has been 25mm of rain in the last 36 hours and the forecast is for another 25 to 35mm of rain between now and racing on Saturday. It is due to be main dry thereafter.

Fresh ground is available on both the hurdle and chase tracks for all days.

Following a dry and breezy day Cork is good to firm for the Flat and good, good to yielding in places for the national hunt action.

There is a status yellow warning in place for rainfall with the possibilty of 25 to 35mm.

Officials are monitoring the amount of rainfall over coming days with regard to watering on the national hunt line.

Gowran Park race again next Wednesday and the going is currentl soft.

There is the possibility of up to 36mm of rain over weekend. Racing is on the innermost racing line.

Following 26mm of rain in last 48 hours Kilbeggan is good to yielding ahead of their fixture next Thursday.

There is the possibility of 15 to 25mm of rain over the weekend and it is set to be mainly dry thereafter.

Officials are monitoring the situation regarding commencement of watering.

Racing is on the innermost hurdle line.

Tipperary also race next Thursday and it's currently good to firm, firm in places.
