Fairyhouse will have to pass a precautionary inspection at 7.30am tomorrow morning if racing is to go ahead at the County Meath track on Saturday.

Clerk of the course Brian Hamilton said: "The ground at Fairyhouse remains yielding on the Hurdle track and yielding, good to yielding in places on the Chase track.

"Having spoken to Met Eireann, there is the possibility that temperatures could drop to -1 tonight into tomorrow morning before rising to 5 degrees later in the day.

"In light of the current forecast, there will be a 7.30am precautionary inspection tomorrow morning to assess the situation regarding frost.

"If the forecast is correct, we are confident that the fixture will go ahead as scheduled."
