Fallon Derby decision at 9am Kieren Fallon will learn whether or not he will ride leading Derby hope Recital at Epsom at 9am on Saturday morning, just seven hours before the race. Fallon was yesterday cleared to ride Recital by a High Court judge who refused to grant an injunction to Ibrahim Araci, the owner of rival Derby contender Native Khan, preventing Fallon taking the mount. The episode began on Monday when Fallon chose to ride Recital rather than Araci’s Native Khan in the race. Araci was granted leave to appeal and the Court of Appeal judges, Lord Justice Jackson and Lord Justice Elias, held over their verdict until Saturday. Lord Justice Jackson and Lord Justice Elias, who requested several times the confirmation of the time of Saturday's Derby, accepted that judgement in this case was extremely time-sensitive but ruled a verdict could not be made any sooner than Saturday morning.
