Fallon loses appeal Kieren Fallon will not ride in the Vodafone Derby on Saturday after he lost his appeal against a three-day ban at a hearing of the Jockey Club`s disciplinary committee this morning. He received the suspension at Ayr last Thursday after the local stewards found him guilty of irresponsible riding of a minor nature on third-placed Distinctive Dream in the RS Design Handicap and banned him for June 9th, 10th and 11th.Fallon had hoped to get the ban either overturned today or be considered to have committed a lesser offence worthy of a one or two-day ban, as that would have left him free to ride on any day when a Group One race was run in Britain.Fallon was clearly disappointed and on leaving Portman Square he said: 'Why not forget about it.'The former champion jockey was due to partner long-time favourite Golan in the premier Classic. Pat Eddery will now replace Fallon on board the Sagitta 2000 Guineas winner.
