Falmouth 'might come bit quick' for Integral Connections of Integral feel a bid for consecutive victories in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket's July Festival could come a fraction too soon. Although no firm plans have been made as to where the Sir Michael Stoute-trained five-year-old will appear next following her below-par effort Royal Ascot, an attempt for back-to-back wins in the Group One contest on July 10 could be off the agenda. Having made an encouraging return to action when finishing fourth in the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury in May, the dual Group One winner was one of the first beaten in her attempt to win successive renewals of the Duke of Cambridge Stakes, finishing fifth to Amazing Maria. Chris Richardson, racing manager for owners Cheveley Park Stud, said: "She has come out of the race sound. I think it was a case of the ground being too firm for her. "We will see what happens and we will prepare her for races like the Falmouth and the Matron Stakes. "However, the Falmouth might come a bit too quick for her and we don't want to run on extreme ground again as there will be an autumn programme for her on more suitable ground."
