Fancy and Zanzibar added to Oaks

Foodbroker Fancy and Zanzibar have been added to the Vodafone Oaks field at a cost of stg£20,000 to connections at today`s supplementary stage.

Foodbroker Fancy booked her place in Friday`s Classic at Epsom with a game head victory over Arhaaf in the Victor Chandler Lupe Stakes at Goodwood last week in the hands of Dane O`Neill.

Her trainer David Elsworth said: 'I`m quite happy about supplementing her. I`m sure she`s worthy of her place in the line-up and I reckon she could run very well. I hope so for the ownership (Food Brokers Ltd).

'I must confess it`s something I didn`t envisage otherwise I would have entered her. The fact that I didn`t shows that she has surprised us.

'She`s done the running so she deserves to be in the line-up.'

Elsworth was delighted with the daughter of Halling`s win at Goodwood where she encountered trouble in running.

He said: 'She was authoritative. The second may have been caught napping but that said we got stopped.

'She`s 25-1 with William Hill and I think it`s a very good price.'

O`Neill will take the ride once again at Epsom.

The Michael Bell-trained Zanzibar already boasts a Classic success, having landed the Group One Oaks d`Italia by seven lengths at San Siro last month, giving jockey Michael Fenton his first success at the highest level.

'She worked well on Wednesday and we are looking forward to running her,' Bell said.

Zanzibar is a general 14-1 shot for the Oaks.

Love Divine was supplemented at the same stage last year before going on to glory in the Oaks.

This year`s renewal will comfortably be the most valuable, now having a total prize fund of stg£365,000.
