Fehily in race against time Noel Fehily admits he's facing a race against time to be fit for the Cheltenham Festival. The jockey, who came in for a number of high-profile spare rides for Paul Nicholls with Ruby Walsh sidelined, had surgery on a wrist injury last month. Now he fears he faces two months in a cast meaning he will struggle to make the Prestbury Park showpiece. "I've had the operation, five bits of wire were inserted into it and I'm due to see the surgeon on Thursday when he's hopng to put a cast on it," the jockey told At The Races. " I'll be in a cast for two months but I didn't get a chance to speak to the surgeon after the operation. "If the cast is on for two months I'm up against it for Cheltenham, it's going to be tight, and I'll know a lot more after speaking to the surgeon. I'd love to be back for it but time wise I'm going to be up against it."
