Fenton reports Dunguib in great form

Philip Fenton does not believe the extra three days will hinder the chances of Dunguib when he defends his unbeaten record over obstacles in the Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse tomorrow.

The Grade 1 contest was due to be run at the County Meath venue on Sunday, but the meeting had to be rescheduled after the track was hit by heavy rain.

Fenton has done little with his Champion Bumper winner since and is keeping his fingers crossed the card is given the green light this time.

"He's still in great form and is ready to take his chance tomorrow, but it's obviously weather permitting," said Fenton.

"The rain is coming down here at the moment so we'll have to see, but we're looking forward to it. It's not really been a problem that the race has been moved and he has just been doing routine canters since, so he's absolutely fine."

"If the meeting goes ahead the ground can only be heavy, but it's the same for all of them and it's the same field that would have run on Sunday."

All six runners that were originally declared have stood their ground with Sweeps Hill and Some Present likely to put up most resistance to Dunguib.
