Ferguson looking forward to Mise run at the Curragh Newmarket trainer James Ferguson believes the Curragh will play to the strengths of his charge Mise En Scene in the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas on Sunday. The Siyouni filly won her first two starts as a juvenile, including the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood, before finishing fourth in the Fillies Mile behind Inspiral. On her final outing last season the Qatar Racing-owned filly was 10th in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. She is set to make her seasonal debut in this weekend's race having missed her home classic due to a temperature. “It's very exciting and it's a tremendous pleasure to have a filly of that quality that can even be considered for a classic, let alone the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas,” said Ferguson. “The owners have been very good to me and massive supporters of the sport so it would be massive to get a big one for them. “After this race we'll know a lot more about whether we're keeping her at a mile, her pedigree screams out a mile-and-a-quarter “That's where I think the Curragh will benefit her, especially if there is a bit of cut in the ground you almost want to be a mile-and-a-quarter horse.”
