Having been in the winners' enclosure earlier in the evening, Danny Mullins completed a double after Fire Coral made all to land the Tayto Group Ltd Handicap Hurdle at Down Royal.

Following up her recent victory at Downpatrick, the Sam Curling trained mare clearly has a liking for the northern air.

In front from flag fall, Mullins set perfect fractions on the six-year-old, giving her breathers at opportune moments along the way.

Strongly pressed from three out, the 7/2f rallied bravely after jumping the last, staying on in determined fashion to score by two-and-a-half lengths.

Danny Mullins said: "I think so (had a tough partner) - made one or two mistakes on the way around and then slow jump at the last opening the door for someone to come nab me, but she was good and tough.

"Even at the top of the hill, without committing, I wasn't hanging around for anybody.

"Phillip Enright had filled me in about her and Sam is having a great year, so just lucky again it is a double meeting!

"I'd say there could be (a bit more left in her), it will be interesting to see what the handicapper does after this today but she could be one to step up in class a little bit again off a light weight."
