FITZGERALD NEEDS ANOTHER WINNER Mick Fitzgerald today revealed he was premature in claiming a full set of victories on all Britain`s 42 jumps courses this week. He was widely hailed for completing the feat on Tuesday after gaining his first win at Musselburgh on Carbury Cross. But confusion over the location of an earlier winner means he still has one track to go. 'It was an oversight on my part,' Fitzgerald wrote in his column in the Daily Star. 'It seems there is still one course where I haven`t tasted success - Newcastle. 'I thought I had ridden a winner at Newcastle for Howard Johnson but in fact the race was at Kelso!' Fitzgerald is determined to put the record straight by riding a winner at Gosforth Park, whose next fixture is the Tote Northern National meeting a fortnight today.
