Five Irish engaged in Cambridgeshire

Dermot Weld is responsible for two of the five Irish entries for the Betfred Cambridgeshire at Newmarket on September 24th.

The Rosewell House handler could be representing by Rock Critic and Stunning View, who both have 9st 6lb after the weights were revealed for the 158 left in.

Both horses were among the all conquering Weld team at Galway last month.

Tony Martin has Pires in the 1m1f contest while the Irish challenge is completed by the Ger Lyons-trained Printmaker and Dermot McLoughlin's Sadler's Mark.

Dare To Dance is now disputing favouritism for the £160,000 event.

The three year old was well backed for the autumn handicap - in which he's been allotted 8-2 - before dotting up at Newmarket last weekend prompting further cuts to his price.

Trainer Jeremy Noseda revealed: "I was delighted with Dare To Dance's performance at Newmarket. I was eager to run him as it was our last chance to get him qualified for the Cambridgeshire.

"That will be his target as we move forward and he has come out of last weekend's race in good order.

"He is a horse that I feel has scope for further improvement. He is still immature and can improve physically and mentally. He is only just beginning to grasp what is required of him now."
