Flynn hopeful of further progress from Timourid Timourid gained the fourth win of his career at Roscommon last month and in-form trainer Paul Flynn is hopeful that the Gleneagles gelding can go well at Gowran on Monday. The Aga Khan-bred, previously successful for Denis Hogan and James McAuley, will be chasing a fifth career victory in the Sonix Entertainment Handicap over seven furlongs which is the most valuable event on the card at the Kilkenny venue. Flynn, amongst the winners at Down Royal last night, said: "He will have to improve again and he is running off his highest ever mark. "He was good in Roscommon. I think he will be better over a mile but if he is drawn well (has been handed stall 11 of 14) he won't be far away again. "I wouldn't mind a few pound as I'd love to run him in Galway for the seven-furlong race on the Sunday. He would need a few more pound, but not too much!" Additional reporting by Michael Graham
