Jack Foley saddled his first winner in the training ranks at Dundalk on Friday and is looking forward to running Monbeg Park in the Listed Paddy Power Steeplechase at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Foley, who was champion conditional jockey in 2022, is building up his string with Donnchadh Doyle who has supplied him with a yard and horses.

Foley said: "Monbeg Park is entered in the Paddy Power.

"He is going well, everything is good at the minute.

"We'll just have to keep one eye on the weather.

"He's a star. He has given me a runner in a Kerry National. He ran in the (Grade 2) PWC Chase in Gowran. He ran a cracker the last day in Punchestown (in second) in a Grade 3 and he wasn't beaten far.

"Delighted to have a horse as good as him. Hopefully, we can get the ball rolling now."

Foley's Liberation Date obliged on the Polytrack on Friday evening in Doyle's colours.
