For Bill for Thurles

The Mick Winters trained For Bill is to run next in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF(Mares) Beginners Chase at Thurles on Thursday.

The multiple winner was a beaten favourite when reverting to hurdles at Leopardstown over Christmas but the slow pace in the race hampered her chances.

Winters today stated "For Bill is in great form and will run at Thurles."

He added "some people were hard on her 'pilot' (Davy Russell) the last day because of how slow they went but nobody wanted to make the running in the race. If they went on after jumping they first hurdle things might have suited her better but the race just wasn't run to suit her."

"She had no race the last day and maybe it is a blessing in disguise!"

Winters' Clever Creation is also set to contest the same race at Thurles and Winters added "she is in great order too, having finished second at Cork the last day."
