Fortysixnchange (10/3) made a winning racecourse debut for Gordon Elliott in the Racing May 16 (C&G) P-To-P INH Flat Race at Wexford.

Third in a point-to-point at Ballinaboola in February, he showed a good attitude in graduating to the track.

He travelled best to pick it up into the straight and Josh Halford kept him up to his work in the final furlong to see off a staying-on Coolnav (22/1). Majestic Horizon completed the placings in third at 4/1.

Halford said: “He did it very well, he’s a very straightforward type.

“He hasn’t been in Gordon’s too long, so it’s great to see him come on. He came from a good schooling.

"He appreciated that good ground.

“I didn’t want to get caught in behind the horse that was making it and it worked out well. I kept out of trouble and kept it simple on him.”
