Fraher Field gets up close home in a blanket finish Kudos to the handicapper as the first five home in Listowel’s Kinisla Bloom Feeds Irish EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle, over two and a quarter miles, were covered by little more than a length. In a brilliant finish, Fraher Fields jumped the last in third and was driven to victory by Alan O’Sullivan as runner-up Shirzan drifted right close home and went down by a short-head. Paul Townend was weaving around for a clear run from two out on Wonderful Everyday and didn’t get the gaps in time, as his mount came in third, another half a length away. After Danny Power for John Queally in the first, this was another Dungarvan-trained winner. Owned by John and Pierce Flynn and Conor Lannen, the six-year-old is trained by John & Thomas E Kiely. Thomas Kiely led up the winner and commented "Alan gave her a great spin. We wanted to be up with the pace, although so did every one else, but Alan was able to get a lovely tow into the race. She got under the second-last but just held on. "The winner of the previous race (Tumbling On) finished behind her here last June, so her form is working out and she had also won a bumper.
