French Guineas Target For Caravaggio The French 2000 Guineas remains the likely Classic target for Aidan O'Brien's exciting colt Caravaggio. The son of Scat Daddy was unbeaten in four starts as a juvenile including big-race victories in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh. Caravaggio is as short as 6-1 for the Qipco 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday week, but he is likely to avoid a clash with stable companion and hot favourite Churchill by heading for Deauville. "At the moment everything is going according to plan and that (French Guineas) is what we're looking at," O'Brien told At The Races. Orderofthegarter has impressed twice already this season, most recently landing the Leopardstown 2,000 Guineas Trial. "Orderofthegarter probably won't go to Newmarket. He could go to the French Guineas and the Irish Guineas, or something like that," O'Brien added. The Ballydoyle handler reported Rhododendron to have "done well physically" ahead of her bid for Classic honours in the Qipco 1000 Guineas, for which she is the 11-4 favourite. He said: "It's so far, so good with her as well."
