French jockey Tissier banned for riding finish circuit early Iconic Sky rallied in extraordinary fashion to gain an unlikely third place after her rider Maxime Tissier rode a finish a circuit too early in a two-and-a-half-mile handicap hurdle at Fakenham. Tissier, who was handed a 14-day ban, sent the 11-2 shot into the lead before the sixth flight and held a 12-length lead when the 3lb claiming conditional stopped riding on passing the winning post with another lap of the track to go. That left Iconic Sky plum last, but neither horse nor rider gave up and Lucy Wadham's five-year-old stayed on stoutly into third place between the last two flights and was only beaten five lengths by the winner, Le Breuil.
